I’m a transplanted American, living in Australia for the last 34 years. My heritage is Italian, German and, of course, American, but I have found my spiritual home here in the red heart of Australia, Alice Springs. I started this blog in 2011 as part of my own devised ‘therapy’ while going through breast cancer surgery and subsequent treatment. I thought perhaps in my own small way I could contribute to society’s knowledge and understanding of one of life’s experiences. I could never quite tell when the ‘treatment’ and disease was over, so I have kept writing, about all the things in life that give me pause, delight, teach and honour me.

Just picked up your “like” on my blog, and here I am on yours. And loving it! I agree we are kindred spirits.
The variety on your blog is wonderful. Your travel section and pictures are great (we are on our way to Berlin soon). I also love your quotations. I may snag that idea for my own blog one of these days.
