Perfectionism in Writing

โ€”

,

Today I am referring you to an excellent blog post that appeared in my Brain Pickings Weekly email this morning. ย I have read the book about which it is written, Bird by Bird byย Anne Lamott. ย Her advice about writing and her hard won life experience is a good read. If you don’t like well written, warm and funny then you won’t like it, but I do. ย Enjoy.

(Will also put in a plug here for Brain Pickings blog, very well written and always something of interest)

  1. Bird by Bird is one of my favorites as well. When I decided to leave music for writing, my piano professor loaned me a copy and told me I would probably enjoy it even more than he had, “since you’re a writer.” Those words and that book kept me going for years.
