I’m new to reading this blogger but she has inspired me to participate in a ‘back door’ challenge. Cecilia @ thekitchensgarden has asked her fellowship of bloggers to photograph what lies outside their back door and post it onto our blogs so that we can share what it is we see just outside our back door. As soon as I read this, I popped out of my chair at the computer and grabbed my iPhone and headed outside before the light was gone. It was about 5.30pm and the winter sun was not at a flattering angle in terms of light, but here it is, warts and all.
We live in the middle of the arid zone of Australia, Alice Springs and on the edge of a golf course to the west, with only one row of houses between us and the bush to the east. We get kangaroos through here quite often, many birds, rabbits, large lizards called goannas and the usual domestic critters but no gorgeous cows as in Cecelia’s photos. The kangaroos love to run right down the breezeway onto the green, usually early mornings and just after dark in the evenings.
These five photos pretty much cover the 180 degree view from our back door. I hope you have enjoyed seeing our little patch of the world. Ardys
You live on a golf course! What great photos and the light is so beautiful. I bet your air is really clean unlike our polluted city air here. Such a long way away from me, and still it is our beloved Earth xx

A beautiful view indeed! I wake up to clean air away from the city, thank the Lord, but have USDA workers crawling through my woods with binoculars…without any announcement!
