the gift I choose…

,

When the sun sets today it will have been a wonderful day. How do I know? Because that is what I choose as the gift of my 61st birthday. I choose to take photos from beginning to end, to my heart’s content, and to write and read and bask in the affirmation that is my Life. Few words needed beyond that, so here are the photos. Enjoy. 1. Happy Birthday. Thank you for sharing it with me. You are correct that few words are needed. I wonder how many others walked past that ghost gum and saw the beauty of it today. And you look fabulous! Happy 61.

  8. A beautiful, wondrous, memorable birthday to you, Ardys! Many happy returns on the day.
And as usual, your photos tell such a tale of your unique perspective, but most importantly, they translate. I love that I believe I understand the “why” of your decision to capture them.
I raise my glass to you in salute.
    Big hugs. xxoo

  9. Happy Birthday 🙂 What a lovely gift to us to share your day in such an inspiring way. That you love the life you live, every day, comes across so strongly. I’m pleased that bubbles were a part of your birthday, as well as the other special things.

    1. Thank you EllaDee! I’m so glad it comes across that I love my life. And YES, those are my favourite bubbles, Grant Burge – Pinot Noir Chardonnay. Love it, and I normally don’t do bubbles!

  10. Happy (belated) Birthday! And an absolutely wonderful photo set 🙂 It sounded like the day was perfect in so many ways, and that salmon (?) at the end of the set looked equally perfect.

    1. My husband is a dab hand on the barbecue and his salmon is delicious. I will be revealing my ‘secret’ for the caramelised crust in a post soon! Thanks for stopping by Shane, I admire your photos and sincerely appreciate your comment on mine!

      1. Comments are well deserved on great posts like yours. Please do share that recipe soon. My fam loves salmon and I love to bbq. We have many recipes for.salmon, but I have yet to try it over the flame.

  11. I’m so sorry – I am way behind as life in general has stopped me reading regularly on my followed blogs and I am only here now – but here to say I just loved these photos and your affirmation of the blessing of a birthday. Very, extremely belated but the best of wishes (apt any day of the year but often uttered only one!).
